Jeff Vojta

In the coffee industry since 1994, Jeff has been a barista, roaster, delivery driver, green coffee buyer, trainer and, of course, our CEO. Prior to entering the coffee business, Jeff Vojta was a senior manager for PWC, an accounting firm, but his love for coffee lead him to start his own coffee shop, Classic Coffees, in 1994. The rest is Stockton Graham & Co. history; he began roasting his own coffees and selling to customers around the local area. This led to his relationship with Dilworth Coffee, which today is part of the company family.

Jeff has traveled the world searching for great coffee and speaking about specialty coffee. In 2009, he traveled to Dubai to address the Specialty Coffee and Tea Convention. Jeff has been involved in the Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA) “The Event” in a number of roles, including volunteer, speaker and trainer. He has also visited coffee farms in Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Guatemala. Jeff is a SCAA certified brewmaster and a Gold Cup technician.

Heavily involved with the SCAA on the Board of Directors as a past Secretary/Treasurer, Jeff received the SCAA Special Recognition Award for Outstanding Service in 2007. He has served on the Board of Directors for the World Barista Championship, been a judge/volunteer in the Southeast Regional Barista Championship and helped to organize the first Southeastern US Barista Jam. Jeff’s volunteering streak goes beyond the coffee world into groups like the Eastern NC Multiple Sclerosis Society, Junior Achievement, Chamber of Commerce, American Heart Association and American Diabetes Association.

Outside of the coffee world, Jeff enjoys reading, gardening and spending time with friends and family. He loves traveling, exploring new cultures and food, and meeting new people.

Favorite Coffee: Sulawesi Toraja.  The deep, intense, earthy chocolate notes are complex and exotic to the senses. The flavor profiles of Sulawesian coffees can vary dramatically from crop to crop and require skilled and artful roasting to produce the optimal flavor profile.”
