As an experienced coffee connoisseur can tell you, each coffee of
origin has different taste profiles and characteristics. Our Stockton
Graham & Co. roasting staff puts a great deal of effort into
selecting coffees from each production region to offer you only
the best taste profile. The three major coffee production regions
of the world are Africa/Arabia, Latin America and the Pacific Rim.
The coffees from Africa/Arabia regions have a wide variety of
characteristics from zesty and citrus-bright to mellow and winey.
These coffees also display many sweet flavors and aromas reminiscent
of fruit and flowers. This is where coffee originated and a great
allotment of it still grows wild there.
The coffees from Latin America generally have lively acidity
and are usually very clean tasting. The most defining aspect of
each country is probably their range of acidity. It can either
be very high, over powering all other flavor components or it
can be subtle, nicely accenting the coffee.
The coffees from the Pacific Rim are typically rich, full-bodied
with earthy nuances all throughout. Generally, these coffees are
low in acidity and very smooth with a dry, nutty finish.
