This class is a lot of fun, but it is also packed with both theory and hands-on (and senses-on) practical experience.
We believe that by exploring the taste profiles of specific varietals and how they interact with each other, you will gain a greater understanding of coffee. And it’s your passion and knowledge of specialty coffee that inspires your customers to drive past your competition to your store.
OBJECTIVES
In this class, we hope to use blends to expand your cupping skills and to increase your understanding of coffee in general.
We will discuss common reasons and methods for blending.
You will experiment with how taste profiles interact with each other in a blend through several fun cupping flights.
We will lay out a method for the blend creation process and walk you through the process of designing your own blend.
