Stockton Graham & Co. started as a coffeehouse in Raleigh, NC
in 1994. To expand their selection of specialty coffees, the founders
began to roast their own coffees right in the store. As word of
their fresh-roasted coffees grew around town, the founders began
to supply local fine-dining restaurants and specialty food stores,
eventually outgrowing the retail space.
In 1999, the wholesale division was formally separated from the
retail division and became housed in its present location. The
Company grew tremendously in those early years, adding wholesale
coffee accounts throughout the Carolinas. Additionally, they were
able to add different associates with a range of skills to continue
to offer their customers not only the highest quality products,
but also outstanding customer service.
As the specialty coffee industry grew, the Company took their
knowledge of other products that were needed to operate their
own retail coffee shop and began to add similar types of offerings
to their wholesale company. Flavoring syrups and sauces were among
the first ancillary products to be added. Shortly thereafter came
brewing and grinding equipment, espresso equipment, bulk storage,
dispensing accessories and much more.
In 2000, with the start of a new millennium and the addition
of so many other specialty beverage products, the co-founder and
team members decided that the company’s old name, Classic
Coffees Roasting Company, Inc., no longer described the company
and its mission adequately. After much research and assistance
from key outside advisors, the Company formally changed their
name to Stockton Graham & Co. An overall corporate identity
was also developed to reflect the new mission as a specialty coffee
roaster and beverage distributor.
Today, Stockton Graham & Co. is proud to offer innovative
beverages with individual service. The journey into taste discoveries
